The Childcare NVQs that we have successfully delivered in previous years have now been discontinued. We have thought long and hard about a replacement programme and we are very excited about what we have put together.

Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People’s Workforce

This qualification is to guide and assess the development of your knowledge and skills relating to the children & young people’s workforce and will provide progression to the Early Learning and Childcare, Social Care and Learning Development and Support Services workforces. This qualification confirms competence under supervision in these areas where appropriate and serves as a progression pathway to the required qualification at Level 3 and above (for all new practitioners) for registration and regulatory requirements in the sector.

Level 1 Award in Working with Children

This qualification aims to enable you to develop basic knowledge and understanding of the needs of young children, aged from birth to five years based in a variety of settings. It also helps you to understand your role in supporting children’s development. The qualification gives you the basic skills needed to support playwork, out-of-school and early years settings.

All of our Childcare classes have now started. We are hoping to start recruiting again before the summer holidays.
