About This Course
WHAT WILL I STUDY?All students will study
Unit 1 - Developing Skills for Listening to Children
Unit 2 - Understand the Value of Food Nutrition for Children and Young People
Unit 3 - Understanding Play for Early Learning
HOW IS THE COURSE TAUGHT?
This will be a very active practical programme involving lots of group work, discussion and hands on activities. You will attend two sessions each week for 18 weeks. Each session will be approximately 2.5 hours long. You can expect to do some work and studying in your own time but you are not required to undertake a work placement for this qualification.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
You will not have any formal examinations but will be expected to keep a record of your work and progress and undertake some written tasks and projects.
WHAT QUALIFICATION WILL I ACHIEVE?
You will receive a National Open College Network Level 2 Award qualification. This qualification can be built on to help you achieve a Level 2 Certificate, which in turn can lead on to a Level 2 Diploma.
